Innovation District Project

The innovation district project is a major mixed-use development opportunity designed to strengthen Centennial Campus as both a vibrant community and a hub for research, partnership and innovation through the addition of office, lab and residential space with a heavy focus on adding amenities and food and beverage options to benefit the entire campus community.

As NC State’s flagship research and partnership campus, Centennial Campus brings together university researchers, students, industry partners and community-facing amenities in a connected environment. The innovation district project builds on that foundation by creating new opportunities for collaboration, campus improvement and long-term growth.

Keystone Science Center

Keystone Science Center reflects Centennial Campus’s role as a place where research, partnership and applied innovation come together. The project supports the campus’s broader research ecosystem and demonstrates how development can serve NC State’s academic and innovation mission.

Venture + Alliance

Comprised of six buildings and 656,087 RSF of high-tech facilities and multifunctional office, electronic lab, and classroom space, Venture + Alliance offers a launchpad for growth and development.

Center for Technology and Innovation

The Center for Technology and Innovation is part of Centennial Campus’s portfolio of partner-focused spaces. The project shows how university real estate can support technology, research and collaboration in close proximity to NC State faculty, students and campus resources.

StateView Hotel

The StateView Hotel brought hospitality and event capacity to Centennial Campus while supporting the campus’s role as a destination for university, partner and community activity. The project demonstrates how mixed-use development can strengthen the campus experience and serve visitors, alumni, partners and university guests.

The Greens at Centennial Campus Apartment Complex

The Greens Apartments added residential capacity to Centennial Campus and helped support a more active mixed-use environment. The project reflects the university’s interest in creating a campus district that supports learning, working, living and gathering.
