Outdoor Space Information

Centennial Campus is the destination for your next outdoor gathering. Our office is suited to assist with guiding the intricacies of campus. Please see below for information about spaces available and don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. If you are ready to move forward with reserving your space, you can do so by filling out our Space Request Form.

Please be aware that most spaces on Centennial Campus do not have amenities such as power or water. Also, NC State does not provide any tables, chairs, or tents for your use. You will need to use an outside contractor for these services.

Engineering Breezeway

Engineering Breezeway is located at the north end of The Oval, just outside of Engineering Buildings I & II. This covered space is best used for tabling or information sharing activities.

The Oval- Northern Terrace

The Northern Terrace is situated at the top of The Oval, a short distance from the Engineering Buildings. This half moon shaped space is well suited for any events of 250 ppl or less.

The Oval- Middle Terrace

The Middle Terrace on The Oval is an open space perfect for large gatherings, or for small events that need a lot of space.

The Oval- Southern Terrace

With crossing pathways throughout, the Southern Terrace has easy access and picturesque views of the surrounding area.

This high-traffic space located in the between of 4 buildings with walkways and seating throughout.

Centennial Campus 5k Course

Our 5k course takes place mostly on the multi-purpose path on Centennial. Races are limited to 250 people and do not cross streets or roadways.

Hunt Library Lawn

The Hunt Library Lawn is a small space just outside the front door. It is best used for groups who are already hosting programs inside the library and need to move portions of their event outside.

Lake Raleigh Picnic Area

The Lake Raleigh Picnic Area is the place for family, friends, or work groups to gather and enjoy the outdoors. There are 2 picnic tables and 2 grills available for us.

This grassy field has open views of the lake during the fall and spring months.

For groups looking to host cyclocross or other cycling events on Centennial East.

This flat open space is easily accessible for those who work in Toxicology, Keystone Science Center, or Partners II and III.
